About The Position

Our award-winning Executive Pastry Chef Ned Archibald is looking for an Entry Baker/Pastry Cook to join his team at the Keystone Conference Center. This is an opportunity to get your foot in the door with an incredible team.

Requirements

  • Willing to work weekends, holidays, evenings and mornings as needed
  • Able to communicate easily in English
  • Able to lift 50 lbs
  • Able to work in coolers and in freezers for short periods of time
  • Able to report to work at 5am weekdays, weekends, and all holidays, including Christmas

Nice To Haves

  • At least 1 year experience baking and/or pastry production within a commercial retail bakery, restaurant or resort

Responsibilities

  • Producing all pastry, desserts, and breads as need daily
  • Baking and bagging cookies for front desk cookie giveaway program
  • Producing all cakes, pies, and baked goods for banquet functions
  • Producing daily pies, biscuits, and ice cream for stable sleigh/hay rides as needed
  • Following and adhering to all SOP’s and recipe’s as directed by pastry chef
  • Accurately measuring and weighing ingredients
  • Decorating occasion cakes
  • Producing all breakfast pastries for restaurants and banquet functions
  • Recycling all materials accepted as well as compost program
  • Cleaning bakery as needed including floors, coolers and freezers, and equipment
  • Occasionally washing pots/dishes if necessary
  • Participating and assisting in the set up of buffets in the Conference Center as well as all other Keystone locations
  • Training new employees as needed
