About The Position

The Entry Manufacturing Laborer manufactures corrugated material and counts and stacks finished product. The role includes inspecting incoming and outgoing product and raw materials, reading factory orders, gauges, and other test equipment, using basic shop math, and completing quality and administrative documents accurately while following directions. Forklift and/or clamp truck operation is preferred but not required.

The employee also performs cleanup, including blowing down the machine, wiping shafts, cleaning ink systems, vacuuming and sweeping the machine area, and picking up and shredding scrap. The employee serves as an Assistant Machine Operator and should be prepared to promote to the next position level when a vacancy becomes available. This is a safety-sensitive position.

Requirements

• Mechanical aptitude.
• Ability to count and stack finished product.
• Ability to read a tape measure.
• Ability to interpret instructions in written, verbal, or electronic form.
• Ability to use test equipment while performing basic math calculations.

Nice To Haves

• Forklift and/or clamp truck operating experience.

Responsibilities

Benefits

• Eligible new hires may receive a $500 sign-on bonus after 30 days and another $500 after six months.
• Eligible new hires may receive a $500 retention bonus after one year and an additional lump sum after two years.
