About The Position

The Entry Manufacturing Laborer works at the Waxahachie Sheet Feeder in Waxahachie, Texas, on the third shift. The role involves checking, measuring, counting, stacking, and preparing finished sheets and units, documenting non-conforming materials, and maintaining a clean work area. The position pays $20.40 per hour and offers sign-on bonuses of $500 after 30 days and $500 after six months, plus a $500 retention bonus after one year and an additional lump sum after two years. The shift is listed as 11 p.m.–7 p.m.; hours may vary depending on production needs, and weekend work may be required as needed.

Requirements

Ability to read, write, and speak English.
Ability to read a measuring tape and ruler.
Ability to count and stack finished product.
Warehouse and/or manufacturing experience.
Stable and verifiable work history.
Ability to safely lift and move up to 50 pounds during a regular work shift.
Proficiency using a tape measure and safe use of a utility knife.

Responsibilities

Check count accuracy and verify conformance to specifications.
Double-check for quality issues and communicate them to the control room operator or wet end operator.
Measure finished sheets for accuracy.
Insert proper load tags into finished measured units.
Check unit appearance.
Operate the count station and load tag printer.
Restack non-conforming units.
Hand-flip bundles when warped or otherwise required.
Document non-conforming materials on the disposition sheet.
Determine whether an order is complete or partial.
Wear all required personal protective equipment.
Use a tape measure proficiently and use a utility knife safely.
Keep work areas clean and free of debris, including keeping the floor clear of sheets.
Safely lift and move up to 50 pounds during a regular work shift.
Follow lock-out/tag-out procedures.
Prepare and position the top dunnage for unit strapping.
Count and stack finished product.
Read orders.
