About The Position

Wheelers of Coloma is seeking an Entry Level Technician to join its growing team. The role focuses primarily on fluid checks and basic vehicle maintenance, including oil changes, inspecting belts and filters, and checking and rotating tires. The company offers in-house training and may pay for ASE/GM training and certifications, with the opportunity to progress into higher-paying roles. The position includes straight hourly pay and work in a state-of-the-art facility with tools provided.

Requirements

• Deep understanding of automobiles and basic mechanics.
• Effective analytical and communication skills, and eagerness to improve.
• Ability to learn new technology and service procedures.
• Valid driver’s license and clean driving record.

Nice To Haves

• One year in a service department is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Test that systems and components are working properly.
• Inspect and refill fluid levels as necessary and perform full oil changes.
• Drive vehicles for testing purposes and communicate issues to service advisors.
• Inspect tire pressure and tread depth, and perform tire rotations as needed.
• Maintain efficiency and accuracy in diagnosing and repairing vehicles.
• Use power tools, machine tools, and common hand tools to perform tasks.
