About The Position

Medical Diagnostic Laboratories (MDL), a member of Genesis Global Group, is a CLIA-certified clinical laboratory specializing in automated DNA-based molecular analysis, including PCR testing across a broad infectious disease test menu. MDL is expanding its U.S. sales force and seeks a high-energy, self-motivated Entry Level Sales Executive to maintain and grow hospital and physician client relationships in an assigned territory in Chico, California.

The role is responsible for meeting territory sales and profit objectives, developing new business, presenting MDL’s tests and services to medical professionals, and managing the territory’s client relationships and sales pipeline. The representative works with the Regional Manager to develop the territory in alignment with company objectives and provides reporting on sales pipeline, account plans, and territory activities.

Requirements

• Computer proficiency with MS Office, Excel, email, and internet functions.
• Ability to travel within the coverage area and occasionally nationwide.

Nice To Haves

• One to three years of experience is preferred but not required.
• A bachelor’s degree, two years of sales experience, or a similar combination of education and experience is preferred but not required.

Responsibilities

• Achieve annual sales and profit objectives for the defined territory.
• Obtain new business and exceed the annual territory sales budget by presenting information about new tests, up-selling, and finding new revenue sources from clients.
• Develop and deliver personalized sales presentations to physicians, laboratory staff, clinics, and group practices, demonstrating how MDL’s technical features and services can benefit practices and support quality patient care.
• Build positive, long-term client relationships by scheduling and conducting client calls.
• Develop and maintain a full business pipeline of prospective clients and manage the assigned geographic territory.
• Provide timely and accurate reporting on pipeline, account plans, and territory-management activities as required.
• Work closely with the Regional Manager to develop the assigned territory in line with company objectives.
• Maintain knowledge of competitors and their presence in the assigned territory.
