About The Position

Robert Wright Disposal, a Waste Connections company, is hiring an Entry Level Diesel Technician in Glenmont. The role supports experienced mechanics with vehicle maintenance and repairs while learning the trade under supervision. The schedule is Monday through Friday, 8:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m., with 50–55 hours per week. Pay is $25.00 per hour. The position is overtime eligible and offers year-round employment.

Requirements

• Mechanical aptitude and a drive to learn and grow with a team.
• Ability to adapt to a wide variety of environments to complete work assignments.
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds.

• Welding or fabrication experience.

Responsibilities

• Assist experienced mechanics with vehicle maintenance and repairs while learning under supervision.
• Perform routine maintenance and inspections on trucks and equipment.
• Conduct oil changes, filter replacements, tire rotations, and lubrication.
• Assist with brake inspections and check fluid levels, belts, hoses, and other key components.
• Identify potential issues and report necessary repairs to the lead mechanic.
• Maintain accurate service records and reports.
• Keep work areas clean and organized in compliance with safety regulations.
• Assist with minor repairs and support the mechanic team as needed.
