This role is for new CDL-A drivers starting on East Coast freight. Drivers complete 4 to 6 weeks of paid, over-the-road training with an experienced driver trainer. After being signed off, they receive their own truck and are guaranteed $1,000 per week for three months after their first solo dispatch. Drivers haul dry van loads along the eastern seaboard, with no routes west of the Mississippi, and are home every two weeks. The work averages around 2,500 miles per week, with drop-and-hook on most loads. Average weekly gross pay is $1,200 to $1,500, with a starting rate of $0.55 per mile that increases by $0.01 annually up to $0.65 per mile. Drivers also receive $15 stop pay and a performance bonus.
