MPOWERHealth’s 16–20-week paid Associate Technician program provides hands-on training, classroom instruction, and operating-room experience under the supervision of experienced neuromonitoring professionals. Graduates are prepared to continue their careers as Intraoperative Neuromonitoring (IOM) Technicians at MPOWERHealth, with ongoing support and mentorship while working toward CNIM certification. The MPOWERHealth CNIM Academy is the first and only intraoperative neuromonitoring training program outside a university setting to receive programmatic CAAHEP accreditation, and reports a 94% CNIM pass rate. The position is estimated to begin in February 2027. Associate Technicians provide intraoperative neuromonitoring during brain and spine surgeries to help surgeons mitigate risks to patients’ nervous systems. They train to operate and troubleshoot IONM equipment and software, perform monitoring modalities in surgery, and collaborate with surgical and anesthesia teams. The role also includes maintaining accurate monitoring and patient records and continuing to develop IONM skills and knowledge.
