About The Position

Nucor Steel Berkeley is seeking an Entry‑Level Accountant to join our finance team. This role is ideal for recent graduates or early‑career professionals who want hands‑on experience, real responsibility, and long‑term growth opportunities in a manufacturing environment. This position reports to the Accounting Manager.

Requirements

Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Business, or a related field
Relevant coursework or academic projects will be considered

Nice To Haves

Internship, co‑op, or early‑career accounting or finance experience
Interest in pursuing CMA certification or a related graduate degree
Manufacturing or cost accounting exposure
Experience with Oracle or other ERP systems
Willingness to relocate for future opportunities within Nucor

Responsibilities

Assisting with monthly, quarterly, and annual close processes
Preparing journal entries, account reconciliations, and financial statements
Supporting cash management, inventory accounting, and fixed asset management
Assisting with forecasting, cost analysis, and expense reviews
Supporting special projects and process improvements
Working collaboratively with finance, operations, and other departments
Candidates must be able to demonstrate the ability to initiate, lead, and uphold safety policies, practices, procedures, and housekeeping standards at all times.
