About The Position

Advanced PMC is seeking an organized, detail-oriented accounting professional ready to begin building a career in the field. The role is suited to a recent graduate or someone with foundational accounting experience who wants practical, hands-on experience with day-to-day business accounting. The position uses QuickBooks and supports accounts payable, accounts receivable, payment processing, reconciliations, and financial recordkeeping. Some QuickBooks exposure and a willingness to learn are expected. As experience grows, the role may offer opportunities to take on more responsibility.

Requirements

Some hands-on QuickBooks experience, which may come from a job, internship, or relevant training.
Basic understanding of invoices, payments, and account reconciliations.
Comfort using Microsoft Excel and general office software.
Strong attention to detail, organization, and follow-through.
Professional communication skills and willingness to ask questions and learn.
Ability to handle confidential financial information responsibly.

Nice To Haves

Recent education or coursework in accounting, bookkeeping, or a related field is preferred.

Responsibilities

Enter vendor bills and customer invoices in QuickBooks.
Match vendor invoices with purchase orders and receiving records, and follow up on discrepancies.
Review shipping records to help ensure customer invoices are accurate.
Process credit card payments and record transactions.
Record cash receipts and apply customer payments to the correct invoices.
Assist with accounts payable and accounts receivable.
Reconcile bank and credit card accounts.
Maintain organized electronic and paper financial records.
Assist with filing, routine reports, and month-end accounting tasks.
Communicate with customers, vendors, and coworkers about billing and payment questions.
