About The Position

Our client is a public sector company seeking a Enterprise Network Systems Administrator. This role involves providing administration, troubleshooting, and support for complex, large-scale enterprise network infrastructure. The position is located in Downey, CA, and is a hybrid role with a duration of 12 months. The work environment is a large-scale 24/7 IT enterprise environment.

Requirements

• 3+ years of experience utilizing complex, large-scale network infrastructure devices, including Cisco routers, Cisco switches, Cisco ASA firewalls, Palo Alto firewalls, wireless controllers/access points, and Cisco Nexus switches.
• 2+ years of experience using enterprise-level network monitoring and management tools.
• 2+ years of experience working with Windows Servers, Linux Servers, and IBM Mainframe z/OS operating systems.
• Certification in one or more of the following: CompTIA Network+, CompTIA Security+, CCNA, or CCNP.

Nice To Haves

• Bachelor’s degree in an IT-related or Computer Science field preferred.
• Additional qualifying experience may substitute for the required education on a year-for-year basis.

Responsibilities

• Provide administration, troubleshooting, and support for complex, large-scale enterprise network infrastructure.
• Work with Cisco enterprise or carrier-class routers, Cisco switches, Cisco ASA firewalls, Palo Alto firewalls, wireless controllers/access points, and Cisco Nexus switches.
• Support enterprise network infrastructure in a large-scale 24/7 IT environment.
• Utilize enterprise-level network monitoring and management tools to monitor network performance, availability, alerts, and incidents.
• Provide technical support and troubleshooting across Windows Server, Linux Server, and IBM Mainframe z/OS environments.
• Diagnose and resolve complex network and infrastructure issues while maintaining reliable enterprise operations.
