The Enterprise Messaging & Collaboration Team within Information Technology (IT) manages applications used Enterprise wide, primarily focused on collaboration and modernization tools. We provide design, implementation and support services to all departments within Wake County. The Enterprise Messaging & Collaboration Team is here to keep everything running smoothly, offer help when needed and ensure our collaboration platforms and services meet the needs of Wake County employees. Plus, we're always working on new projects and systems to better support our Wake County employees. As an Enterprise Messaging & Collaboration Systems Engineer, you'll work closely with multiple divisions within Information Technology, as well as business units across the county, to provide administration, design, implementation, integration and support for the Microsoft 365 platform and related technologies. This position offers the opportunity to improve enterprise collaboration services, implement new capabilities, troubleshoot complex issues and help modernize the County's digital workplace. You'll manage multiple initiatives simultaneously while supporting the Microsoft 365 platform, including Exchange Online, Microsoft Teams, SharePoint Online, OneDrive, Entra ID and related Microsoft 365 services. In this role you'll assist with platform administration, system integrations, identity and access management, troubleshooting, governance, security, service optimization, and the implementation of new Microsoft 365 capabilities that enhance collaboration and productivity across the organization.
