About The Position

NetCost Market is seeking an IT Enterprise Support Specialist for a 6-month temporary position. This role is responsible for administering sales reports and client activity for the IT Support team. The specialist will diagnose and troubleshoot software and hardware problems, resolve network issues, configure operating systems, and provide immediate support using remote desktop connections.

Requirements

  • Ability to troubleshoot hardware and software problems
  • 1-2 years’ experience in hardware/software support
  • Expert knowledge in how operating systems and software works.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills.
  • The capacity to work well within a team.
  • Ability to lift and handle packages/hardware with the approximate weight of 50 pounds or more.

Nice To Haves

  • Bachelor's degree required or equivalent years of experience, Computer Science degree or related field preferred.
  • 2 plus years’ experience in IT.

Responsibilities

  • Administering sales reports and client activity for the IT Support team.
  • Diagnosing and troubleshooting software and hardware problems.
  • Resolving network issues.

  • Providing immediate support using remote desktop connections.
  • Evaluating system potential by testing compatibility of new programs with existing programs.
  • Evaluating expansions or enhancements by studying work load and capacity of computer system.
  • Achieving computer system objectives by gathering pertinent data; identifying and evaluating options; recommending a course of action.
  • Confirming program objectives and specifications by testing new programs; comparing programs with established standards; making modifications.
  • Improving existing programs by reviewing objectives and specifications; evaluating proposed changes; recommending changes; making modifications.
  • Evaluating vendor-supplied software by studying user objectives; testing software compatibility with existing hardware and programs.
  • Placing software into production by loading software into computer; entering necessary commands.
  • Placing hardware into production by establishing connections; entering necessary commands.
  • Maximizing use of hardware and software by training users; interpreting instructions; answering questions.
  • Maintaining system capability by testing computer components.
  • Preparing reference for users by writing operating instructions.
  • Maintaining historical records by documenting hardware and software changes and revisions.
  • Maintaining client confidence and protecting operations by keeping information confidential.
  • Maintaining professional and technical knowledge by attending educational workshops; reviewing professional publications; establishing personal networks; participating in professional societies.
  • Contributing to team effort by accomplishing related results as needed.
