About The Position

QTS' summer internship program provides hands-on experience in the data center industry, including weekly lunch and learns, a comprehensive orientation, and site-based activities. Interns will be assigned initiatives tied to real QTS objectives, contributing to the data center build lifecycle and company operations. The Enterprise IT Support Intern will gain exposure to a critical role within the internal IT team, organizing IT ticket requests, building stakeholder relationships, facilitating IT tool access, leveraging Powershell for solutions, and maintaining project documentation.

Requirements

  • Actively pursuing a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Engineering, Construction Management, Business Management, Economics, Mathematics, Accounting, Finance, STEM, Data Science, or a related field.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite, especially PowerPoint for presentations and Excel for data analysis and budgeting.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Critical thinking and problem-solving abilities.
  • Must be a US Citizen.

Nice To Haves

  • Current full-time enrollment in one of QTS’s partner institutions (Auburn University, Kansas State University, Georgia State University, Southern Adventist University, Texas A&M University, University of Kansas) or a Blackstone Launchpad affiliate school.
  • Previous internship or co-op experience in construction, finance, technology, HR, facilities engineering, or related industries.
  • Experience with data analysis tools such as Tableau or Power BI.
  • Experience with programming languages like Python, Java, etc.
  • Involvement in community activities outside of schoolwork (athletics, clubs, volunteering, part-time employment).

Responsibilities

  • Organize and handle IT ticket requests as they come in.
  • Build relationships with key stakeholders across the organization.
  • Facilitate changes and IT based tools and access for staff at all levels.
  • Leverage Powershell for initiating solutions.
  • Leverage a task/project management log/portfolio to properly distribute requests to other teammates.
  • Assist the Technology team with day-to-day activities and responsibilities.
  • Maintain updated budgets, schedules, and status reports for assigned projects.
  • Respond to break-fix issues and coordinate long-term corrective actions.
  • Define and track agile development of software features requested by the business.
