IT Support Internship - Summer 2027

About The Position

Cemstone is hiring a summer 2027 IT Support Intern to gain hands-on experience supporting technology initiatives across the organization. The position provides exposure to IT support, cybersecurity, infrastructure, data management, and analytics while working alongside experienced technology professionals. The intern will support internal users and IT equipment, including equipment in a manufacturing environment, and may travel to remote work locations as needed. The role calls for a security-first approach and attention to quality, business goals, and analysis.

Requirements

Must be at least 18 years of age.
High school diploma or equivalent.
Currently enrolled in and attending an accredited university or college program.
Proficient computer skills, including Microsoft Office Suite (Word, PowerPoint, and Excel).
Knowledge and basic understanding of desktop computer hardware, configuring printers, and data networking (TCP/IP, DHCP, etc.).
Must have reliable transportation.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

Responsibilities

Approach all work with a security-first mindset.
Assist with help desk calls, scheduling, and tickets for internal users; troubleshoot problems reported by users.
Administer and support desktop computers, printers, routers, switches, firewalls, phones, smartphones, and software deployment.
Support IT equipment in a manufacturing environment.
Assist the IT Security Manager with monitoring and maintenance tasks.
Oversee asset disposal tracking.
Travel to remote work locations as needed.
