About The Position

TapMango is seeking a driven and strategic Enterprise Business Development Representative (BDR) to pioneer its growing mid-market sales motion. This role is responsible for generating high-quality pipeline by engaging senior decision makers at multi-location brands across restaurants, retail, health & beauty, and fitness. The position focuses on thoughtful, personalized outreach and meaningful conversations with real operators who care about customer retention, repeat visits, and revenue growth, rather than high-volume, spray-and-pray outbound tactics. The role starts as hybrid, requiring 2 days per week in the Toronto office, with an expected transition to fully remote within 6 months to 1 year.

Requirements

  • 1–3+ years of BDR/SDR experience, ideally selling into mid-market or SMB+ accounts
  • Confidence and professionalism speaking with senior decision makers
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills with an emphasis on personalization
  • Curious, coachable, and resilient mindset with a desire to grow in sales
  • Highly organized and comfortable managing multiple accounts and outreach efforts
  • Metrics-driven with a strong sense of ownership and accountability

Nice To Haves

  • Experience selling SaaS, martech, fintech, or restaurant/retail technology is a strong asset

Responsibilities

  • Own top-of-funnel pipeline creation through strategic outbound prospecting into defined mid-market segments (typically 5–50+ locations)
  • Research target accounts to personalize outreach and demonstrate a strong understanding of each prospect’s business
  • Engage senior stakeholders—including Owners, Founders, CMOs, and Operations leaders—in value-driven conversations
  • Uncover pain points related to customer engagement, retention, and growth through thoughtful discovery
  • Book qualified discovery meetings for Account Executives and ensure strong handoff context
  • Maintain accurate CRM activity, pipeline tracking, and reporting
  • Collaborate closely with Account Executives, Marketing, and Sales Leadership to refine messaging and targeting
  • Continuously test, iterate, and improve outbound sequences, messaging, and vertical-specific approaches
