Enterprise Account Executive- Public Sector

ComputronixEdmonton, AB
Onsite

About The Position

This role is for a strategic Enterprise Account Executive with at least 3-5 years of experience in the Public Sector space. The focus is on quality over activity, emphasizing building strong relationships, understanding client needs, and creating opportunities that solve meaningful problems over time. While there is a quota, the emphasis is on building trust and presenting genuinely valuable opportunities rather than rushing deals. The role involves owning a territory, conducting thorough research, building relationships through meaningful conversations, and navigating complex government procurement processes. This position is ideal for someone who prioritizes the quality of opportunities, takes time to build trust, is comfortable creating their own pipeline, and has experience with long or complex sales cycles in the Public Sector. It may not be a good fit for those who prefer fast-moving deals, rely on inbound leads or high-volume outreach, or need a clearly defined playbook.

Requirements

  • At least 3-5 years of experience in the Public Sector space.
  • Ability to travel up to 25% to the territory (CA, ID, TX, CO, AZ, NM, UT, and NV).
  • Must be able to travel to the territory.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience working with regulatory agencies (permitting, licensing, gaming, alcoholic beverage control, or similar) is highly valued.

Responsibilities

  • Own and develop a territory across CA, ID, TX, CO, AZ, NM, UT, and NV.
  • Identify target agencies, learn how they operate, and decide where to focus time.
  • Conduct meaningful research on agencies, their structure, decision-makers, and potential problems.
  • Build relationships with CIOs, Directors, and agency leaders through actual conversations.
  • Manage long, complex sales cycles.
  • Lead conversations focused on understanding problems and offering value.
  • Work closely with Pre-Sales, Proposal, and Client Services teams.
  • Navigate RFPs, procurement processes, and internal approvals.
  • Identify and prioritize agencies within the territory.
  • Research agency operations and challenges.
  • Connect with the right people and provide relevant content.
  • Build relationships before there is an active deal.
  • Maintain consistent follow-up and engagement.
  • Turn relationships into qualified opportunities when timing and need align.
