About The Position
Mater Hospital Springfield is seeking passionate and motivated Enrolled Nurses to join our Emergency Department in Permanent Full-Time and Part-Time positions. This state of the art facility will meet the needs of the growing Greater Springfield region. With a mix of public and private beds across ICU, maternity, emergency and medical, surgical services, it’s set to care for over 200,000 patients annually.
Requirements
- Current registration with AHPRA as an Enrolled Nurse.
- Previous Emergency Department experience or experience within a high-acuity hospital environment.
- Strong clinical skills and sound nursing judgement within your scope of practice.
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
- The ability to remain calm and effective in rapidly changing situations.
- A commitment to delivering exceptional patient-centred care.
- A genuine desire to learn, develop and progress your nursing career.
- Flexibility to work a variety of casual shifts across a 24/7 service.
Responsibilities
- Provide evidence-based nursing care within your scope of practice under the direction of Registered Nurses.
- Assist with patient assessments, monitoring and ongoing care planning.
- Support the management of patients with acute, complex and urgent healthcare needs.
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to achieve positive patient outcomes.
- Contribute to patient flow, admissions, transfers and discharge planning processes.
- Advocate for patients and their families, ensuring a positive care experience.
- Maintain accurate clinical documentation and adhere to professional and organisational standards.
- Participate in quality improvement, patient safety and infection prevention initiatives.
- Engage in ongoing education and professional development opportunities.
