Enrolled Nurse - Redlands
About The Position
Mater Private Hospital Redlands is seeking Enrolled Nurses to join their Casual Pool team. Availability and flexibility are crucial for this role, requiring a minimum of 2 shifts per week across a 24/7 period. This position offers Enrolled Nurses the opportunity to gain valuable experience by being exposed to different areas within the hospital. Mater Private Hospital Redland, established in 2000, is the only private hospital in Redland Shire, featuring 60 beds, 2 operating theatres, and a variety of specialized surgical and medical services. The role involves providing a high standard of patient-centered nursing care, supporting patients with daily living activities, assisting with basic human needs, and recognizing normal and abnormal patient health and functional status through assessment, intervention, and evaluation. Ongoing communication with Visiting Medical Officers (VMOs), Allied Health professionals, and team members within the unit is also a key responsibility.
Requirements
- Current AHPRA registration (without restrictions)
- Minimum 12 months post graduate nursing experience
- Experience working within an acute hospital environment
- Flexibility to perform in various wards, adaptability to seamlessly integrate into different teams and work under different NUMs
- Consistent availability to complete shifts at short notice
- Commitment to excellence in nursing practice and professional development
- Demonstrated ability to work well within a multidisciplinary team
- Basic computer skills and proven ability to use health information systems
Responsibilities
- Provide high standard of patient-centred nursing care.
- Support patients in the activities of daily living.
- Assist in meeting basic human needs.
- Recognize the normal and abnormal assessment, intervention and evaluation of patient health and functional status.
- Ongoing communication with VMOs, Allied Health professionals and team members within the unit.
