About The Position

Join the dedicated nursing team at Naracoorte Health Service as an Enrolled Nurse and contribute to the delivery of safe, high-quality and person-centred care within our Acute Unit. Working under the direction and supervision of a Registered Nurse/Midwife, you will provide nursing care within your scope of practice, undertake patient assessment and routine clinical procedures, recognise and escalate changes in clinical condition and contribute to individual care planning. You will work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team, support patients and their families through education and communication, and contribute to quality improvement, evidence-based practice and the ongoing development of your clinical skills.

Requirements

  • Be enrolled, or eligible for enrolment, as a Nurse with the Nursing and Midwifery Board of Australia and hold, or be eligible to hold, a current practising certificate.
  • Demonstrate effective written and verbal communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary healthcare team.
  • Be able to prioritise workload, recognise and report changes in clinical condition and provide safe, person-centred care.
  • Have experience providing nursing care within a healthcare setting in accordance with appropriate standards of practice.
  • Demonstrate an understanding of the Enrolled Nurse role, relevant legislation, professional standards, codes and ethical requirements, with a commitment to evidence-based practice and continuous improvement.
  • A current Nationally Coordinated Criminal History Check (NCCHC) for employment involving unsupervised contact with vulnerable groups is required for this position.
  • A satisfactory Working With Children Check (WWCC) is required.
  • A satisfactory NDIS Worker Screening Check is required.
  • Immunisation Risk for this position is – Category A.
  • SA Health Services are required to implement the Addressing vaccine preventable disease: Occupational assessment, screening and vaccination policy in the workplace.
