Freelance English to Japanese Translator - Medical Benefits
About The Position
TransPerfect is seeking experienced freelance translators specializing in the Medical Benefits field for a dedicated team of preferred language specialists. Translators will help deliver high-quality Medical Benefits translations for clients. The language pair is English into Japanese. The role is freelance and remote, and candidates may be located anywhere in the world. Applicants must sign a confidentiality agreement and complete free Translation, MTPE, and Proofreading/QM tests. Applicants should submit an up-to-date CV detailing relevant Translation, MTPE, and Proofreading/QM experience and proposed per-word rates in USD for each service. Requirements
- Native speaker of Japanese.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English.
- Proven experience translating content in Medical Benefits.
- Acute attention to detail, spelling, and grammar.
- Ability to maintain professionalism under tight deadlines.
- Sign a confidentiality agreement and complete the required Translation, MTPE, and Proofreading/QM tests.
- Meet at least one of these qualification pathways: a degree in Translation, Linguistics, or Language Studies (or an equivalent degree with significant translation training) from a recognized higher education institution; a college degree and two years of translation experience; five years of translation experience without a college degree; or a certificate of competence in translation awarded by an appropriate government body.
