About The Position
Clark College is seeking to fill a part-time English Professor position. This is an ongoing recruitment with applications collected year-round. The ideal candidate will create and maintain a welcoming and supportive environment for students from diverse backgrounds and collaborate to improve student success. This part-time faculty position is not eligible for employer-sponsored benefits. Requirements
- Master's Degree or higher in English, Composition and Rhetoric, or Literature.
- Postsecondary experience teaching composition.
- Ability to work well with people of all ages from academically, culturally, and socioeconomically diverse backgrounds.
Responsibilities
- Instruct classes using techniques and knowledge of the discipline that facilitate student learning.
- Participate in decision-making processes by taking part in department and college committees.
- Pursue professional development.
- Strive to enhance teaching and learning techniques.
- Work well with people of all ages from academically, culturally, and socioeconomically diverse backgrounds.
- Understand and commit to the mission of Clark College.
