About The Position

NOW OFFERING PAID CREDENTIALS - Eliminating upfront costs for necessary clearances & TB screening! The ELD Paraprofessional/Regular Education Paraprofessional position will support students individually or in small groups implementing curriculum. ELD Paraprofessional/Regular Education Paraprofessionals work on student days following T/ESD school calendar year Typical scheduled hours for Elementary: 8:30-4:00p / Middle School: 8:15AM - 3:15PM / High School: 7:30-3:00 Position schedule may vary depending upon assignment 11 paid holidays & 7 days of paid time off (pro-rated based on start date) The hourly pay-rate for Regular Education Paraprofessional is $23.94 per hour
Requirements
- BA Required
- PA Teacher Certification required
- PA Child Abuse (Act 151) Clearance
- PA Criminal (Act 34) Clearance
- PA Department of Education FBI – Use code 1KG6XN
- TB Screening - current within 3 months
- Education Documentation - Diploma OR Official Transcripts
Nice To Haves
- Prior public-school experience and/or working with school-aged children in a licensed, certified, or registered provider setting - preferred
Responsibilities
- Work together with ELD classroom teacher to support, assist, and implement lessons and instruction.
- Communicate successes and concerns to ELD teacher.
- Function collaboratively as part of the instructional team.
- Reinforce and assist classroom teacher to increase the learning of targeted students.
- Communicate effectively with students and teachers.
- Prepare instructional and non-instructional materials.
- Perform other duties as assigned by the classroom teacher and building administrator.
- On time, regular and consistent attendance is essential to performing successfully in this role
