English (ESL) Language Teacher for children in Lexington, SC
About The Position
Join the Global LT community and help provide language lessons to business professionals and their families worldwide. We are currently looking for English Language Teachers (ESL) to provide in-person customized lessons to our clients in Lexington, SC. This is an individual class for a 5-year-old child who is a beginner in English. The student's goals include preparing for school, using public transportation, writing, having conversations with native speakers, learning school-related vocabulary, making friends, and reading. The student's interests include playing, crafts, and painting. The lessons will be held at the student's home near Jim Hudson Ford in Lexington, SC.
Requirements
- Native or near-native written and spoken proficiency in the target language (English)
- Certificate or degree in language teaching, education, instructional design, writing, language, linguistics, second language acquisition, or related field
- Minimum of two years of teaching experience especially to children
Nice To Haves
- Experience teaching English as a Second Language (ESL)
- Experience teaching children
- Knowledge of German language (student's native language)
- Familiarity with school preparation, public transportation vocabulary, writing skills, conversational skills, reading skills, and making friends
- Ability to incorporate interests such as playing, crafts, and painting into lessons
