About The Position

Amentum is seeking an experienced Senior Submarine LAN technician to provide full-time support to the Mid-Atlantic Regional Maintenance Center (MARMC) in Norfolk, Virginia. The role provides technical support for submarine LAN systems and other electronics equipment, including troubleshooting, hands-on assistance, training, modernization, and LAN transitions and grooms.

Requirements

At least three years of full-time engineering experience operating, maintaining, installing, testing, or repairing submarine electronics systems and equipment.
Experience evaluating the material condition of ship systems and implementing corrective actions.
At least five years of full-time technical experience designing, installing, testing, or repairing electronics systems and equipment.
Prior Submarine/Navy LAN administration experience.
Active U.S. government Secret clearance.
U.S. citizenship is required to maintain a Secret clearance.

Responsibilities

Provide technical assistance for software- and hardware-related issues.
Recommend solutions to the ship's force for equipment- and software-related failures.
Provide hands-on technical support to the ship's force as necessary.
Train crew members during assistance and assessment visits.
Assist with SubLAN modernization efforts.
Identify failed components and assist with obtaining replacement parts as necessary.
Support non-SubLAN laptops and workstations.
Assist with LAN transitions and grooms.
