About The Position

The Engineering Technician supports design and sales efforts through building, testing, and evaluating new designs and demonstrating them to customers.

Requirements

• Knowledge of safe and proper use of small arms.
• Personal familiarity with the use and maintenance of small arms in field conditions.
• Training and experience as a Gunsmith.
• Ability to clearly document findings and results of evaluations.
• Understanding of basic probability and statistics.
• Strong interpersonal skills and communication skills.
• Ability to work independently and a desire to learn and improve.
• Ability to organize and present data.
• Demonstrated ability to operate sophisticated test equipment, communicate technical information, and maintain records.

Nice To Haves

• Experience with Lean Manufacturing or willingness to learn and participate in Lean Manufacturing processes or activities

Responsibilities

• Build prototypes and sales samples.
• Evaluate same for performance, safety, and suitability for intended use.
• Perform standard tests in accordance with Mossberg and Industry protocols.
• Document results of tests and evaluations.
• Provide actionable feedback to design engineers and product managers.
• Maintain workshop and testing facilities and equipment.
• Provide logistical support for customer demonstrations and demonstrate product capabilities to prospective customers.
• Perform other duties as assigned
