About The Position

The Engineering Continuous Improvement Technician is a versatile, multi-functional team member responsible for supporting the manufacturing engineering team in a fast-paced manufacturing environment. This role plays a critical part in ensuring accurate preparation, control, and deployment of manufacturing and continuous improvement initiatives to the production floor, while also contributing to lean manufacturing initiatives and departmental operational efficiency.

Requirements

  • Minimum 1 year of experience in a manufacturing, engineering, operations, or technology support environment
  • Minimum of 2 years of experience in a manufacturing or operations environment

Nice To Haves

  • Experience leading or participating in: Kaizen Events, Rapid Improvement Events (RIEs), Lean Manufacturing Initiatives, Manufacturing Engineering Projects, Capital Improvement Projects
  • Experience working with Lean manufacturing methodologies, terminology, and tools.
  • Experience working in a continuous improvement or operational excellence environment.
  • Experience in Microsoft Office and engineering/document management systems

Responsibilities

  • Support day-to-day manufacturing engineering activities and improvement initiatives.
  • Analyze manufacturing data and performance metrics to identify opportunities for improving safety, productivity, quality, and cost.
  • Track and measure the effectiveness of implemented improvements and improvement programs.
  • Lead and support Kaizen events, Rapid Improvement Events (RIEs), and other continuous improvement activities.
  • Assist with plant-wide 5S initiatives and sustainment efforts.
  • Develop and implement visual workplace solutions, including: Floor markings, Labels and signage, shadow boards, information and performance boards.
  • Support the development and maintenance of documentation, visual aids, training videos and reference materials.
  • Support Eaton's Industry 4.0 initiatives and digital manufacturing strategies.
  • Assist in identifying and implementing technology-driven process improvements.
