About The Position

The Engineering Supervisor oversees daily operations related to building and systems maintenance and repairs at the DoubleTree by Hilton Cedar Rapids Convention Complex. The role supports safe, compliant operation of the property and helps deliver memorable guest experiences through responsive maintenance service. The supervisor assigns and oversees maintenance tasks, coordinates contractor work, responds to service requests and emergencies, and trains and schedules maintenance team members. The position pays a starting wage of $24.50 per hour and requires a flexible schedule that includes days, evenings, weekends, and holidays.

Responsibilities

• Support maintenance of the hotel’s buildings, mechanical and electrical systems, HVAC, and life safety systems, ensuring compliance with local, state, and federal regulations.
• Assign and oversee daily maintenance tasks and ensure completed work is thoroughly documented in the property management system.
• Supervise external contractors and inspect completed work for quality and compliance.
• Ensure maintenance requests, guest concerns, and emergency situations are addressed promptly and efficiently.
• Train, schedule, and supervise maintenance team members, providing guidance and support to ensure high-quality work and performance.
