About The Position
WE ARE Kona Kai San Diego Resort is a boutique urban resort located on Shelter Island. With 170 guestrooms, Kona Kai Resort is home to Vessel Restaurant + Bar, SpaTerre, a marina and a private club, all located just minutes from downtown San Diego. We are currently seeking a positive, hard-working, self-motivated individuals to join our fantastic team as our Engineering Supervisor at our island-inspired resort. Requirements
- Experience in general building maintenance, plumbing, and electrical systems.
- Basic working knowledge of computers and Microsoft Office applications.
- Ability to use power and hand tools safely.
- Strong communication, organization, and problem-solving skills.
- Open availability, including weekends and holidays.
Nice To Haves
- HVAC and refrigeration experience.
- EPA 608 Certification.
- Experience with painting, drywall, copper pipe soldering, and pool maintenance.
- Prior hotel or resort engineering supervisory experience.
Responsibilities
- Supervise Engineering team members and daily operations.
- Manage work orders and preventive maintenance programs.
- Diagnose and repair building, plumbing, electrical, HVAC, and mechanical systems.
- Inspect guest rooms, public areas, and equipment maintenance.
- Maintain inventory of parts, tools, and supplies.
- Conduct safety inspections and support special projects.
