About The Position

The Engineering Supervisor leads by example while providing guest service and maintaining the hotel building’s operational functionality. The supervisor and engineering team repair, service, and perform preventive maintenance on equipment and facilities throughout the hotel, both inside and outside. The role supports the department head, guides engineers, and collaborates with other departments. The hotel has 488 rooms, event space, restaurants, a bar, and a coffee shop.

Requirements

High school diploma or equivalent.
Previous experience working in a hotel or customer service capacity.
Mathematical knowledge of building and construction.
Comfort and proficiency working on a computer with Microsoft Outlook, Word, and Excel.
Experience working with HVAC, plumbing, construction, and machinery.
Ability to work days, nights, weekends, and holidays with a flexible schedule.
Ability to lift, push, pull, and rotate 50 pounds or more.
Ability to stand and walk for up to eight hours a day.

Responsibilities

Assist guests with room calls and troubleshoot concerns.
Maintain a preventive maintenance program for guest rooms, operational equipment, pools, kitchen equipment, and other assigned areas.
Support the department head and provide guidance to engineers in the department.
Build a team environment within the department and with Front Office, Security, Sales, Housekeeping, Food & Beverage, and other departments.
Use appropriate personal protective equipment and comply with city, state, and OSHA safety regulations.
Perform general repair and maintenance on equipment in and around the hotel.
