Engineering Supervisor

About The Position

The Engineering Supervisor provides technical and administrative assistance to the Chief Engineer and assists with all operational aspects of the Engineering Department. The role maintains and monitors building systems and equipment, supports preventive maintenance and projects, and helps ensure safe, clean, and orderly facilities.

Responsibilities

Provides professional and courteous service at all times.
Maintains building systems and equipment, including refrigeration, heating, plumbing, water treatment, air conditioning units, ice machines, lighting, kitchen equipment, emergency generators, water softeners, switch rooms, roof exhausts, electrical substations, and convention center front- and back-of-house spaces.
Monitors electric, gas, and water consumption.
Ensures projects meet specifications and are completed on time.
Understands and follows lockout/tagout procedures in accordance with OSHA standards.
Performs guestroom and public-area preventive maintenance services as outlined for the hotel.
Performs equipment maintenance checks and properly logs them.
Immediately reports safety and security concerns to the Chief Engineer or Manager on Duty.
Ensures all key inventories are secure.
Responds to emergency situations prepared to assist.
Participates in ongoing maintenance programs for event spaces, public spaces, kitchens, and convention center equipment.
Performs inventory duties as required.
Maintains grounds cleanliness and attractive landscaping.
Keeps workspaces and storage areas clean and orderly.
Attends monthly staff meetings.
Completes projects as determined by the Chief Engineer.
