About The Position

The Engineering Specialist II is primarily responsible for using computer aided design tools to provide support in determining the best technical approach for developing solutions by applying creativity with design concepts. This support will be provided and following the latest drafting and CAD modeling standards and processes. The candidate will participate in the development of such standards and practices to meet or exceed industry standards for the above including 3D Model Based Design, Product Data Management (PDM) and Product Lifecycle Management (PLM) systems. In addition, the candidate will be expected to assist with Model Based Enterprise efforts as applicable, with a proactive focus on continuous improvement initiatives.

Requirements

  • Associate's Degree and 2-4 years' experience OR Equivalent Combination of Relevant Education &/or Experience
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint)

Responsibilities

  • Applies standard engineering techniques to design, analyze, test, maintain, repair, or improve products, components, or assemblies.
  • Analyzes, develops and evaluates systems.
  • Improves and maintains current systems or creates brand new projects.
  • Designs and drafts blueprints, visits systems in the field and manages projects.
  • Applies engineering techniques and analyses within the scope of the assignment.
  • Planning, developing and documenting conceptual and detailed product design information by creating CAD models, drawings and schematics.
  • Assist with Change Notice creation and implementation.
  • Perform tolerance studies.
  • Assist with root cause analysis efforts.
  • Collaborate with other departments, suppliers, customers and locations as needed.
  • Active participant in safety related topics.
  • Active participant in continuous improvement initiatives.
