About The Position

Ellsworth Adhesives, a global, industry-leading distributor of specialty chemicals and equipment and adhesive manufacturer, is seeking an Engineering Sales Representative. This role reports into SCD, an Ellsworth Corporation company. The position is fully remote, but candidates must reside within the Charleston, SC area as that is the assigned sales territory. This role drives the sales process with existing and prospective customers within the assigned territory and collaborates with the customer’s engineering team to specify, qualify, and develop manufacturing processes for specialty chemical solutions.

Requirements

Candidates must live within the Charleston, SC area where the sales territory is located.
3+ years of industrial business-to-business sales experience, experience in the specialty chemical market preferred
Bachelor of Science degree required, within a technical or business-related field preferred
Must possess and maintain a valid driver’s license with a satisfactory driving record.
Must have reliable access to a personal vehicle for daily use throughout assigned territory
Must maintain current automobile insurance that meets Ellsworth policy requirements
Proficiency with Microsoft Office 365 applications

Expert communication skills, including up, down, across, within and outside the organization

Frequent daily travel within the assigned territory. Some overnight travel as required for training and business meetings.

Responsibilities

Determines and presents the customer with potential engineered solutions for customer applications, and coordinates application testing with the customer
Establishes professional customer/vendor relationships with appropriate customer personnel (purchasing, engineering, manufacturing, quality assurance, management, and other key personnel)
Partners with key stakeholders from internal departments, customers and vendors to ensure that the customers’ needs are being addressed
Participates in periodic meetings to maintain technical knowledge of specialty chemical solutions and effectively utilizes technology to efficiently manage their territory
Identifies and pursues new business opportunities to achieve sales targets and grow sales in assigned territory
