About The Position

The Engineering Rotational Development Program (ERDP) Power Generation Hydro is an 18-month program that gives engineers meaningful experience in up to three Power Generation departments, focused on improving PG&E’s electric generating facilities. Participants receive mentoring from Senior Engineers and work at generating facilities supporting engineering, Operations & Maintenance, and construction projects. Facilities are located in the foothills and Sierra Nevada Mountain range between Fresno and Shasta. Common work includes engineering and drawing reviews and revisions, field construction support, design work, and quality-control document and data collection. Rotations may be assigned to engineering offices in Redding, Burney, Chico, Auburn, or Auberry. PG&E may temporarily relocate participants to one or more of these offices during rotations. Successful completion is determined by a panel and includes obtaining an Engineer-in-Training Certificate. Successful candidates will be interviewed for an Associate Project Engineer position at a location determined by Power Generation’s business needs.
