Deliver the mechanical assembly through the entire program life-cycle, from architecture definition and early design to mass production. Drive the program through the entire development process, partnering with our design, operations, and test functions to ensure its success. Create and maintain streamlined program schedules by redirecting pitfalls and developing an improved course of action. Collaborate and facilitate cross-functional communication across engineering, operations, design teams, and our OEM and development vendors to meet ambitious quality, schedule and cost goals. Solve issues to closure by tracking progress, prioritizing FA, helping to identify root cause and working with our cross-functional partners to implement corrective action. Drive the manufacturing and assembly of early prototypes, manage budget and authorize payment, travel internationally to support engineering builds, and solve problems on the assembly line. Offer multiple levels of status updates across a wide spectrum of individual contributors to executive management. 10% International travel required. 40 hours/week. At Apple, base pay is one part of our total compensation package and is determined within a range. This provides the opportunity to progress as you grow and develop within a role. The base pay range for this role is between $172,100 - $258,600/yr and your base pay will depend on your skills, qualifications, experience, and location. Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree or foreign equivalent in Mechanical Engineering or related field and 3 years of experience in the job offered or related occupation.
  • 3 years of experience with the following skills is required: Delivering the mechanical assembly through the entire program life-cycle, from architecture definition and early design to mass production
  • Working with manufacturing processes such as CNC, injection molding, stamping or forging to craft development timelines informing critical design milestones.
  • Offering multiple levels of status updates across a wide spectrum of individual contributors and executive management
  • Working with vendors to strategically plan timelines of engineering builds and travel on-site for failure analysis of hardware and equipment issues
  • Driving the program through the entire development process, partnering with our Design, Operations and Test functions to ensure its success
  • Driving the manufacturing and assembly of early prototypes, manage budget and authorize payment, travel to support engineering builds and solve problems on the assembly line
  • Planning multi-million dollar engineering budgets for prototype builds accounting for tooling, equipment, material and labor costs.
