About The Position

For one of our clients, a world-renowned aircraft manufacturer, we are recruiting an Aircraft Loads Specialist. This role involves conducting simulations and analyses to determine aircraft design loads for both new development programs and the continued airworthiness of in-service aircraft. The specialist will develop and maintain low- and high-fidelity models to support loads analysis, and contribute to the creation of automated frameworks and tools to improve the efficiency and accuracy of loads analysis. Additionally, the role includes developing capabilities for store separation loads analysis to support specialized (missionized) aircraft programs, developing nonlinear actuator modeling tools to meet Transport Canada certification requirements, and using a wide range of commercial and proprietary tools, including a six-degree-of-freedom aircraft simulator.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Aerospace or Mechanical Engineering (Aerospace specialization preferred)
  • Relevant experience in the aerospace industry, particularly in external loads analysis
  • Experience in nonlinear modeling and certification processes
  • Strong programming skills in C++, Fortran, MATLAB, and Python
  • Knowledge of numerical and scientific computing
  • Experience with high-performance computing environments
  • Experience in software development using version control systems (e.g., Git)
  • Solid understanding of aircraft flight dynamics, aeroelastic phenomena (flutter, LCO), and unsteady aerodynamics
  • Familiarity with finite element analysis tools (e.g., Nastran)
  • Knowledge of time- and frequency-domain unsteady aerodynamics
  • Experience with fly-by-wire systems and control law integration
  • Understanding of airworthiness regulations and certification documentation
  • Eligibility for Canadian Controlled Goods clearance
