Assist managers and employees in Mirabel in their efforts to prevent and reduce workplace accidents and occupational illnesses. Ensure compliance with and application of rules, regulations, and procedures to maintain the health and safety compliance program. Perform and/or coordinate activities related to health and safety, workplace inspections, health and safety audits, accident investigations, health and safety alerts, and the continuous improvement of health and safety practices and processes. Develop and monitor specific action plans for the completion of projects aimed at eliminating and reducing health and safety risks. Provide support, training, and coaching to health and safety team members and prevention officers in their sector. Ensure a daily on-site presence. Participate in maintaining the health and safety culture and program. Align and update policies and procedures with corporate and regulatory standards. Participate in the Health and Safety Committee. Meet deadlines. Ensure that established standards and best practices in health and safety are met at all times.

Requirements

  • University degree (Bachelor’s) in Health and Safety or relevant experience.
  • 10 years of experience in health and safety in a manufacturing environment.
  • Strong knowledge of laws and regulations applicable to occupational health and safety.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills and ability to work effectively in a team.
  • Ability to communicate effectively both verbally and in writing, with strong organizational skills.
  • Functional knowledge in French is required.
  • Functional knowledge in English is required for this position, as it involves communication in English with Bell teams outside of Quebec and/or its suppliers, partners, and clients outside of Quebec.
  • Any other combination of schooling and experience deemed equivalent may be considered.
