Ingénieur(e) en charges aéronautiques

SOGECLAIRMontreal, QC

About The Position

This role involves conducting simulations and analyses to determine aircraft design loads for both new development programs and the continued airworthiness of in-service aircraft. The engineer will develop and maintain low- and high-fidelity models to support loads analysis, and contribute to the creation of automated frameworks and tools to enhance efficiency and accuracy. Responsibilities also include building capabilities for store separation loads analysis for missionized aircraft programs and developing nonlinear actuator modeling tools to meet Transport Canada’s certification requirements. The position requires utilizing a wide range of commercial and proprietary tools, including a six-degree-of-freedom aircraft simulator.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's or Master’s degree in Aerospace or Mechanical Engineering (Aerospace specialization preferred)
  • Relevant aerospace industry experience, particularly in external loads analysis
  • Experience in nonlinear modeling and certification process
  • Strong programming skills: C++, Fortran, MATLAB, and Python
  • Knowledge in numerical and scientific computing
  • Experience with high-performance computing environments
  • Experience with software development using version control systems (e.g., Git)
  • Solid understanding of aircraft flight dynamics, aeroelastic phenomena (flutter, LCO), and unsteady aerodynamics
  • Familiarity with finite elements analysis tools (e.g., Nastran)
  • Knowledge of time/frequency domain unsteady aerodynamics
  • Experience with fly-by-wire systems and control law integration
  • Understanding of airworthiness regulations and certification documentation
  • Eligible for Canadian Control Good Clearance
