AWS Infrastructure Services is responsible for the design, planning, delivery, and operation of all AWS global infrastructure, ensuring the cloud runs smoothly. This involves supporting all AWS data centers and the associated servers, storage, networking, power, and cooling equipment to guarantee continuous customer access to innovation. The team collaborates with diverse professionals, including software, hardware, and network engineers, supply chain specialists, security experts, and operations managers, to uphold the highest standards of safety and security while delivering scalable capacity at the lowest cost. The Data Center Engineering Operations Technician (EOT) serves as Amazon's primary on-site responder for hands-on troubleshooting and operation of electrical and mechanical equipment. This equipment includes, but is not limited to, stand-by diesel generators, switchboards/switchgears, UPSs, PDUs, AHUs, pumps, motors, VFDs, and building automation systems. The role requires 24/7 shift coverage, which may involve 12-hour shifts, rotating shifts, and 3, 4, or 5-day work weeks. This position requires the selected candidate to be a US citizen and possess and maintain an active Top Secret security clearance with SCI eligibility.
