About The Position

The role: Contract Engineering Manager (.Net/PHP): We are recruiting for a Contract Engineering Manager for a duration of initially 6 months. This role is an immediate start and it is fully remote. Requirements

Strong expertise in .NET and PHP technologies.
Experience in leading and coordinating engineering teams.
Ability to provide leadership, direction, coaching, and oversight.
Experience in matrix-managing engineering teams.
Skills in driving technical quality, delivery performance, and engineering best practice.
Ability to identify and remove delivery blockers.
Experience in improving ways of working and team efficiency.
Ability to support integration between teams and the wider technology organization.
Experience acting as a trusted partner to senior stakeholders and engineering leadership.
Skills in guiding technical decision-making.
Experience or willingness to champion AI-augmented software development.

Responsibilities

Leading and coordinating four small engineering teams operating across .NET and PHP technologies.
Providing day-to-day leadership, direction, coaching, and oversight to ensure the teams are operating effectively and delivering high-quality outcomes.
Matrix-managing engineering teams across .NET and PHP technology stacks.
Driving high standards of technical quality, delivery performance, and engineering best practice.
Identifying and removing delivery blockers to maximise team effectiveness.
Improving ways of working and helping teams operate more efficiently.
Supporting greater integration between these teams and the wider technology organisation.
Acting as a trusted partner to senior stakeholders and engineering leadership.
Guiding technical decision-making.
Championing AI-augmented software development, helping teams leverage tools such as Claude Code and/or Devin effectively.
