About The Position

Apple is seeking an engineering manager for the Siri AI Runtime Platform team. The role leads engineering work to integrate Siri across Apple devices and deliver consistent, responsive, high-performance experiences across hardware with different capabilities. The team builds multi-user and multi-device experiences across platforms, contributing to Siri AI and Apple Intelligence.

The manager will set technical direction, grow and mentor engineers, and partner with product, architecture, network, reliability, and cross-functional platform teams. The role balances short-term reliability and latency goals with long-term architectural investment, while advancing platform reliability, performance, and scale.

Requirements

• 6+ years of software engineering experience.
• 2+ years of engineering management experience.
• Proven software engineering excellence.
• Experience building and scaling on-device platforms or frameworks.
• A track record of managing technical roadmaps and delivering complex cross-functional projects.
• People leadership experience, including mentoring and growing engineers.
• Experience building platforms or frameworks that use a solid networking stack.
• Strong understanding of latency, reliability, and performance tradeoffs in system design.
• Strong communication skills and ability to explain technical concepts to diverse audiences.

Responsibilities

• Lead and grow a high-performing team building multi-user and multi-device experiences across platforms.
• Define and deliver the technical roadmap, balancing near-term reliability and latency goals with long-term architectural investments.
• Partner with Siri product, architecture leaders, and other software engineering teams to design and implement Siri AI architecture across Apple’s ecosystem.
• Partner with Network and Reliability teams to align on architecture, improve resilience, and optimize system performance.
• Mentor and coach engineers to expand their technical breadth and leadership capabilities.
• Drive collaboration across platform and experience teams to ensure seamless integrations.
• Contribute to organization-wide initiatives around platform reliability, performance, and scale.
