Engineering Manager, Robotics Software

Tutor Intelligence•Watertown, MA

About The Position

Tutor Intelligence is a robotics research and deployment company that builds robot hardware and artificial intelligence. Its robots are manufactured at scale and operate as a network, using fleet-wide learned experience to improve robot capabilities. Founded at MIT and headquartered in Watertown, Massachusetts, Tutor designs and manufactures hardware, trains its own models, works with end customers, and maintains a fleet across the United States. Tutor is hiring engineering managers to lead software teams working on robot software, cloud coordination, tools, simulation, and research code. Each team owns part of the system and is accountable for its performance on robots operating in real facilities. The manager is responsible for the team, priorities, and technical direction. The amount of hands-on coding varies by team; some managers code daily, while others focus more on people and coordination with strong technical leads. The team assignment will be matched to the candidate.
