About The Position

We are looking for students who help us revolutionize the way the world moves in the future! If you have interests in the areas of design engineering, sustainability, systems, hands on testing, controls, alternative fuels, cooling, embedded software, engine performance, or other areas in transportation and rail technology, you can gain real work experience at Wabtec. Our 10-week Summer Internship Program encourages college students to explore their professional interests while working on real business projects. Our program goal is to bring your academic topics to life, give you an opportunity to see what job opportunities are possible and prepare each student for a potential full-time position after graduation in one of our challenging rotational programs or direct hire roles. In addition to your role, you will have opportunities for professional, training and social activities throughout the experience that provide a valuable network with your Intern peers all the way up to senior leaders.

Requirements

Completed at least one year of college (Rising Sophomore).
Enrolled in an accredited engineering degree program in Mechanical, Electrical, Computer, or Software Engineering, Computer Science, Cybersecurity or related technical degree.
Maintain at least a 3.0 cumulative GPA on a 4.0 scale after completing a full year of college.
Open to applicants legally authorized to work in the U.S., without the need for current or future work status authorization or visa sponsorship for employment.
Strong initiative with the ability to work independently and in teams.
Demonstrated experience in leadership roles.
Strong desire to learn and develop technically in engineering roles to supplement classroom learning.
Ability to communicate technical aptitude, critical thinking and problem-solving skills.
Effective communication & interpersonal skills.
Able to work for a minimum of 10 weeks (maximum of 12).
