About The Position

AMETEK’s Engineering internship offers selected college students personalized attention and practical experience to begin a professional career. Interns build technical expertise across a variety of business applications, learn from experienced engineering leaders, and collaborate with team members, customers, and suppliers to solve business problems. The position is based at Hamilton Precision Metals in Lancaster, Pennsylvania.

AMETEK employs engineers in electrical, mechanical, industrial, aerospace, chemical, and materials science specialties. Potential career paths include design engineering, field applications engineering, sales and business development, operations (quality and supply chain), and business leadership and general management.

Requirements

• Currently enrolled in a four-year college or university pursuing a bachelor’s degree in Engineering.
• Strong desire and motivation to develop a career as a future leader in the engineering function.
• Strong quantitative, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
• Applicants must have unrestricted U.S. work authorization; CPT and other restricted work authorization are not accepted.

Responsibilities

• Design new products, processes, and/or systems and evaluate existing ones.
• Participate in operational process-improvement initiatives that affect key performance indicators.
• Work on cross-functional project teams with colleagues in Marketing, Sales, R&D, and Operations.
