About The Position

Nikkiso Cryogenic Pumps & Expanders is seeking an Engineering Intern to support engineering work involving submerged motor liquefied gas pumps and related products. The company supplies pumps for LNG, LPG, LEG, LN2, liquid propylene, and other liquefied gases, with design, production, and test facilities in the United States and Japan.

The intern will prepare basic mechanical calculations and data sheets, create and update drawings, contribute to design analysis, and assist engineers with daily tasks and larger projects. The role is based in a professional office environment and routinely uses standard office equipment.

Requirements

• Have junior or senior class standing and be enrolled in an Engineering or Computer Science program, or be a recent graduate with a BS in Engineering or BS in Computer Science.

Responsibilities

• Prepare simple Excel mechanical software calculations and data sheets.
• Use engineering software such as CAD and SolidWorks to prepare drawings for designed parts and manufacturing drawings, as applicable.
• Participate in engineering analysis of mechanical components using Ansys or similar analytical software.
• Create and update drawings.
• Perform simple design analysis.
• Assist multiple engineers with daily tasks.
• Complete unique assignments supporting larger projects.
• Perform other activities as assigned.
