About The Position

Nikkiso Cryogenic Pumps & Expanders, part of Nikkiso Clean Energy & Industrial Gases, supplies submerged motor liquefied gas pumps and other cryogenic equipment. The company operates design, production, and test facilities in the United States and Japan, with sales offices in Las Vegas, Houston, London, and Tokyo. The Engineering Intern I will support engineering work by preparing calculations and data sheets, creating and updating drawings, conducting simple design analyses, assisting engineers with daily tasks, and contributing to larger projects.

Requirements

• Have junior or senior class standing and be enrolled in an Engineering or Computer Science program, or be a recent graduate with a BS in Engineering or BS in Computer Science.

Responsibilities

• Prepare simple Excel mechanical software calculations and data sheets.
• Use engineering software such as CAD and SolidWorks to prepare drawings for designed parts and complete manufacturing drawings as applicable.
• Participate in engineering analysis of mechanical components using Ansys or similar analytical software.
• Create and update drawings.
• Perform simple design analysis.
• Assist multiple engineers with daily tasks.
• Complete unique assignments to support larger projects.
• Perform additional activities as assigned.
