About The Position

AMETEK’s Engineering internship is designed to develop students’ technical expertise across a variety of business applications and provide personalized attention and experience to help them begin their professional careers. Interns work with innovative technologies, learn from experienced engineering leaders, and collaborate with team members, customers, and suppliers to solve business problems. The position is located in Eighty Four, Pennsylvania.

AMETEK employs engineers in electrical, mechanical, industrial, aerospace, chemical, and materials science specialties. Potential career paths include design engineering, field applications engineering, sales and business development, operations (quality and supply chain), and business leadership and general management.

Requirements

• Currently enrolled in a four-year college or university pursuing a bachelor’s degree in Engineering.
• Strong desire and motivation to develop a career as a future leader in the engineering function.
• Strong quantitative, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
• Unrestricted U.S. work authorization; CPT and PT are restricted work authorization.

Responsibilities

• Design new products, processes, and/or systems and evaluate existing ones.
• Participate in operational process-improvement initiatives that affect key performance indicators.

• Collaborate with team members, customers, and suppliers to solve business problems.
