Engineering Intern (Winter or Summer 2027)
About The Position
StandardAero is seeking motivated, eager, motivated Mechanical Engineering students for winter and summer term positions (4 or 8 months) to support StandardAero’s production and growth projects for the 2027 winter and/or summer term. This work may cover support in the following areas: Production Engineering, Service Engineering, Quality Engineering, Operations, Facilities Engineering, Process Engineering, Repair Development. Requirements
- Must have completed 1st Year of Engineering studies (Bachelor's or Engineering Technology)
- Strong planning, organizational, analytical, leadership, interpersonal, decision making, oral and written communication skills.
- Strong project management skills.
- Good understanding of basic mechanical engineering principles
- Working knowledge computers and MS Office experience/knowledge.
- Must be available to work for the full summer term, from the first week of May through the last week of August 2027 (4 months) or an 8-month term starting January 2027
- Must be eligible to work in Canada on a permanent basis.
Responsibilities
- Develop repairs for engine components.
- Reprocess cost evaluation and recommendations for reduction
- Develop repair on non-conforming parts
- Perform technical manual reviews
- Review tooling requirements and implement into shop
- Write technical reports and procedures.
- Coordinate process improvement initiatives.
- Create electronic manual revisions.
- Perform engine performance analysis.
- Find alternative cleaning, plating, thermal spraying and coatings methods
- Assist in engine and accessories troubleshooting
- Assist in planning and implementing facility improvements, maintenance projects, and energy efficiency initiatives to support safe and efficient operations.
