Summer 2027 Engineering Intern
About The Position
Hendrickson is searching for Summer Interns to join their engineering team in Woodridge, IL. This internship offers hands-on, real-world engineering experience. Interns will spend the summer becoming acclimated with Unigraphics NX and TeamCenter, learning standard company engineering processes and tools, and gaining an understanding of machining processes, castings, and steel forming. They will also learn how to read documentations and drawings, how drawings correlate to fixtures, and gain exposure to the validation engineering group and its part in the development process. Depending on assigned programs, interns may be involved in data collection and analysis, introduction to FEA, fatigue calculations, exposure to ride and handling, vehicle dynamics, reliability testing, and statistics. Students may also spend time in the Validation's R&D Lab doing hands-on testing.
Requirements
- Actively enrolled in an engineering degree program with an accredited college or university
- GPA of 3.0 or better
