About The Position

Talen Energy is seeking candidates for the position of Instructor for Engineering at the Susquehanna Steam Electric Station. This role involves coordinating and administering Training Programs, specifically within the Nuclear Engineering Training discipline. The Susquehanna Steam Electric Station is one of the largest dual-unit, Boiling Water Reactor sites in the U.S., providing approximately 2600 MW of carbon-free electricity. The station is located near Berwick, Pennsylvania, about 30 miles south of Wilkes-Barre, in a region known for its vacation destinations and proximity to major East Coast cities. Requirements

High school diploma or equivalent.
Three years Engineering experience at an operating nuclear plant.
Experience as an instructor.
Maintain Instructor qualifications [Subject Matter Expert (SME) or Nuclear Training Group (NTG) Instructor].
Bachelor’s degree in engineering or engineering technology from a college or university accredited by ABET or recognized by ABET as substantially equivalent.

Responsibilities

Analyze, design, develop and evaluate training materials.
Present training courses.
Write and revise technical training procedures.
Develop and administer end of course evaluations.
Develop and maintain program basis documents (training plans, staffing plans, etc.).
Participate in the Nuclear Emergency Response Organization in an "on-call" status.
Maintain the training programs in compliance with the Institute of Nuclear Power Operations (INPO) criteria.
